There are so many reasons to opt for vintage over a newly made wedding dress. Here are a few things on the top of my list:
1. The cool-factor. A vintage dress is sure to lend a vibe to your day that is as cool as it is unique. Whether your plan is to look like you just stepped off of an 80’s catwalk or out of rockin 50’s party, you can pull it off in style with a vintage dress.
2. Value. I think anyone would agree that the care and attention to detail taken with these dresses cannot be reproduced today – without costing big bucks. A vintage dress may run you anywhere from under $100 to over $1,000. From what I’ve seen, I’d say the average price for a quality vintage wedding dress would be around $350. Or free, that is of course if you have a great hand-me-down piece from mom or grandma!
3. Eco-friendly. Vintage by nature is eco-friendly as you are recycling old clothing, so you can rock that vintage and feel good about your little contribution to the environment!
Below are some of the styles that inspire me. You may notice I tend to gravitate towards the 50’s decade – I just love the classic elegance! All dresses shown below are from Timeless Vixen.
Today season, uphold the consistent elegant temperament, texture soft fabrics, beautiful cascade folds, reveal the glittering and translucent skin scoop-back design, flash light emitted type effect. On the whole the contour more attention to grasp the waist line, outstanding, emphasize the outline hourglass with waist circumference of clipping. Chest Without aglet and scoop-back design will be the most fashionable style of this season.
